How to play Growtopia

Basic Controls
There are 3 main mechanics that are used during the gameplay. The Wrench, the Fist and the Chat Bubble. These 3 mechanics are used to play and interact with both players and your surroundings. In the following paragraphs, each mechanic will be explained.

Wrench
The Wrench is located at bottom of the screen in your inventory. The first slot is where both your Wrench and Fist are found. You can press on the Wrench to switch it to your Fist, and vice versa.

The Wrench is used to interact with other players and to view your own status. By clicking the Wrench, a wrench icon will appear over your head indicating that you are now using the Wrench. Tapping the wrench icon on yourself will bring you to your status which consists of most of your information. Tapping the wrench icon on other players however gives you several interaction options such as Trade, Add as friend etc.

Fist

The Fist is located at the bottom right side of the screen. Tapping its icon will allow you to punch in the direction that you are currently facing. You can also tap on the screen to punch in any direction and can even break any kind of block or background.
The Fist is mainly used to break blocks or backgrounds to obtain gems (currency of Growtopia) and seeds. The fist has a fixed range and breaking power that can be changed if certain mods are in affect.
The fist can also be used to pushed other players to the direction that it is punching at. The knock back is fixed but can be changed with the use of specific mods. However punches will not work in the presence of a Punch Jammer (which prevents all punches to do any knock back).

Chat Bubble
The Chat Bubble is located at the top right of the screen. Tapping the icon will allow you to communicate with other players and perform some commands. The keyboard pops up upon pressing the icon.
Commands ( doing /? then pressing enter will show you all commands) are short cuts enabling the user to do various things such as messaging friends, expressing emoticons and even performing special actions. Commands are used a lot in gameplay and is recommended that you learn every command before moving onward.
Like on most games, you are able to chat and talk with everyone around you. Be warned however that typing any swearing will result in the text changing to #%@% for example and punishments could occur. It is advised that players do NOT use the chat bubble for any bad uses.
